Project Manager Automotive Software Development (Shin-Yokohama) | プロジェクトマネージャー(自動車ソフトウェア開発)、新横浜, Japan
We are seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Automotive Software Development Manager to join our team in Japan. In this hybrid role - combining engineering, project coordination, and customer support - you will work closely with one of tracetronic K.K.’s key accounts and collaborate extensively on-site at the customer’s premises.
Your job responsibilities
- Support tracetronic’s mission to eliminate repetitive tasks through automation, independent of environments or tools.
- Develop, implement and maintain automated test cases and reporting for embedded software using our automation tool ecu.test and our platform one:cx, covering HiL, SiL, and MiL environments.
- Contribute to both pre-sales and post-sales activities, including tool customization, automation scripting, technical consulting, and solution design.
- Organize, coordinate, and manage tasks related to customer requests, feedback, and support, including regular on-site visits.
- Implement and develop Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and customer-specific projects directly on-site.
- Provide product training, onboarding sessions, and hands-on demonstrations of our tools and platform.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for technical product inquiries, ensuring consistently high customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with software developers and engineers in Germany to discuss product improvements and optimize customer solutions.
- Define and specify required tests for diverse systems and development setups.
- Assist customers in achieving Continuous Development and Continuous Deployment (CD/CD) workflows using the one:cx platform.
- Create thorough documentation for test configurations, reports, and error analyses.
Your profile
- Education: Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years within the automotive or software sectors
- Experience with Japanese customers in the automotive and/or software industries
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with ECU software testing, test automation tools, and testing environments (HiL, SiL, MiL)
- Knowledge of automotive bus systems (CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet, etc.)
- Experience with dSPACE Controldesk, NI Veristand, CANoe Vector, ALM systems (Polarion, CodeBeamer, ...)
- Knowledge in cloud (AWS, Azure, ...)
- Knowledge in AI technologies
- Scripting languages like Python, Java, Matlab or C, C++
- MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Knowledge in Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) is beneficial
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in Japanese and very good English Skills
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, solution-oriented mindset, and excellent communication abilities
